- May 2023: Successful conclusion of our 2022-2023 recruiting season

While the dust has not yet fully settled, I am delighted to announce the following three outstanding additions to our department:
- Jiaxing Huang, currently a PhD student at UIUC, will join us as an Assistant Professor on January 1st, 2024.
- Umar Iqbal currently a postdoc at the University of Washington, will join us on September 1st, 2023, also as an Assistant Professor.
- Chongjie Zhang currently an Assistant Professor at Tsinghua University, will join us on September 1st, 2023, as an Associate Professor.
